Internal campaigns always need a personal touch, so it is necessary to use more emotion in consolidating organizational bonds, and even more so when the main channel is e-mail; unlike the poster (that we also carefully crafted), exposed in plain sight, the e-mail is perceived as being much closer to a one-on-one relationship model, even if you’re fully aware that you are far from being the only one who received the message.
For all of the above, sometime we won’t shy away from using plenty of shades of pink, whenever the situation is appropriate. We were, in fact, talking about sweets, the occasion itself being the availability of the company to offer its employees free ice-cream for a whole month. However, we did tone down the “sweetness” a bit with a dash of blue, a presence also justified by the name of the campaign – “Ice Age”.
